Going into the future, we only have the past to guide us. Yet, we are never in the past or the future; by going forward, we are literally trapped in the Now. We think about other times and it is with these faculties alone that we are able not to be here and now, faculties that Kant thought arise out of the conditions of experience: time and space.

In the 24 Compact Disc Box Set entitled the “Wiener Process” there exists one disc that distinguishes itself from all the nearly identical other ones by the fact that the number 22 is missing. Something that is not there signifies the very thing it represents by its absence.

“Circle in Purgatory” is based on the 22nd Compact Disc of the Wiener Process, but it is reorchestrated, humanized, darkened, transposed and whatever you call it, with the arrow of time moving in a direction, in a circle to be exact, within one hour and 12 seconds.
